14-man Longford relegated

Fourteen-man Longford were relegated from Division 1A at Parnell Park as Tommy Lyons' Dublin side welcomed back All-Ireland Under 21 winning captain Alan Brogan.

Brogan was among the scorers as Dublin went in at half time leading by 0-6 to 0-4.

Although Longford levelled proceedings through Niall Sheridan, Dublin pulled away following goals from John Mc Nally and Jason Sherlock.

Longford then had Paul Barden sent off for a second yellow card offence.
