Kennelly to miss Swans' AFL opener

Former Kerry underage star Tadhg Kennelly will miss out on the Sydney Swans' AFL opener because of a knee injury sustained in training.

Kennelly's short but successful career Down Under has been blighted by injuries and it appears the curse has struck again ahead of their clash with the Brisbane Lions.

It is understood that minor surgery on his knee will keep the Listowel native out of football for up to three games.
