Tipp trounce poor Limerick side

Tipperary 2-21 Limerick 1-12

Tipperary grabbed their first brace of points in the Allianz NHL with a comprehensive 12-point defeat of a poor Limerick side at the Gaelic Grounds.

Tipperary led by 0-6 to 0-5 at half-time with brothers Eoin and Paul Kelly contributing six points a-piece for the winners.

A Thomas Dunne goal six minutes after the restart gave Tipp a commanding 1-17 to 0-6 lead. The lively Donie Ryan scored a terrific Limerick goal 60 seconds later but there was simply no way back for a lacklustre Limerick side.

Ace forward Eoin Kelly notched Tipperary's second goal form a penalty 12 minutes before full-time.
