Tipperary to begin hurling campaign without skipper Dunne

Tipperary captain Tommy Dunne will miss Sunday's National League opener against Offaly in a serious blow to the Premier County.

Dunne is suffering from a short-term virus, and the 2001 All-Ireland winning skipper will be joined by Philly Maher and Paul Curran.

The tie will mark Ken Hogan's first game in charge of the county he won All-Irelands with as goalkeeper and selector.
