Three new faces in Cats squad - but no place for Comerford

All-Ireland winning Kilkenny boss Brian Cody has named three new faces in his squad for the upcoming National League and championship campaign.

James Fitzpatrick, Timmy Murhpy and Mark Phelan all make the grade but in a strange twist 2002 All-Ireland winning skipper Andy Comerford misses out.

Comerford had been tipped as a possible Cats captain but, along with O'Loughlin Gaels club colleague Brian Dowling, he has not been called up.
