Wexford hurling chiefs counting on Dunne deal

Wexford hurling boss John Conran may yet get a new year boost with speculation that inspirational half-back Liam Dunne will commit to another year in his county colours.

Dunne was disappointed to miss out on an AllStar last year and despite admitting he may retire it now appears the situation has changed again.

“The chances of Liam coming back are good and he would be a great addition to the team," said a Wexford source. "John (Conran) has met with Liam and we are all hopeful that he will stay."
