McEniff aiming for speedy return after heart op

Donegal manager Brian McEniff is eyeing a quick return from his sick bed after undergoing surgery in Dublin for a minor heart problem.

The Bundoran man is believed to have gone under the knife earlier this week, though speculation that he may have to quit the Tír Chonaill position is wide of the mark.

County official Noreen Doherty said: "It is our hope and Brian's too that he will be back as manager before too long. We have no date set for his return but as far as we are concerned, he is still the Donegal manager."
