Limerick set for dual player meltdown
New Limerick hurling manager Pat Joe Whelahan is understood to be keen to tie down his dual players to just one code this year - hinting that more county chaos could be just around the corner.
Former boss Eamonn Cregan caused uproar when he tried to restrict players like Stephen Lucey, Brian Begley and Conor Fitzgerald to hurling alone and it is anticipated that ambitious Whelahan will do the same.
It's an issue that could open many old wounds in the Treaty County and Whelahan, who recently stepped down as Birr boss to concentrate on Limerick, is not likely to give much ground.
