Tipp star Kennedy undergoes knee surgery
Tipperary hurler David Kennedy has received an early Christmas present when he went under the surgeons knife to repair damage to a troublesome knee.
The Loughmore-Castleiney centre back is hoping to be back in training with the Tipperary senior hurlers when new manager Ken Hogan recalls the squad after the Christmas break.
Kennedy, a Garda by profession, has been struggling with the knee injury for some time and decided that the time was right to have surgery and get the problem sorted out.
He came through the operation successfully and will recover over the festive season.
