New Offaly boss Fahey omits five key players

New Offaly football boss Gerry Fahey has sparked controversy by cutting loose five long serving stalwarts in a bid to return the county to the glory days.

James and Sean Grennan have both missed his pre-season panel along with Vinny Claffey, John Kenny and Finbarr Cullen and the exodus will shock county fans.

An official said: "The panel is not totally closed though. It has been finalised for the time being, but that's not to say there won't be changes in the future."
