Donegal chief to hit out at closure of Croker
Donegal secretary Noreen Doherty will lash the failure to open up Croke Park to non GAA sports when she addresses the county convention next week.
The respected official adds her voice to the growing view that Croke Park should be made a cash cow for the association by renting it out for soccer and rugby games.
Doherty stated: "This fine stadium hosted the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics before a worldwide audience.
"The fact that Croke Park is only used twenty-one days in a calendar year for Association games begs the question - is it economically viable?"
