Offaly dispute not resolved

The dispute in Offaly football following the axing of boss Paul O'Kelly is still not over with Edenderry players issuing a statement backing their club colleague.

O'Kelly was sacked less than a year into the job despite bringing Leinster champions Laois to a replay at one stage.

County players from Edenderry stood behind him and stated: "Offaly senior footballers get back into training for the coming year shortly and in Edenderry it is hoped that the players and the new committee will sit down and discuss their future participation with Offaly."
