Boylan backs Geraghty appeal
Meath boss Sean Boylan has backed controversial football star Graham Geraghty and called for the 48-year week sentence imposed on him to be reduced.
Seneschalstown's Geraghty received the punishment after his third sending off of the year when he allegedly jostled and abused Dunshaughlin referee Jim Smith after a club game.
But Boylan said: "I strongly feel that the county board should re-visit Graham’s case as he wasn’t given a chance to put forward his point of view.
"Along the line somebody made a mistake and it's time for them to admit this."
