Waterford hurling in choas after quit threats
Waterford hurling has been rocked with the news that a string of county stars are set to hang up their hurls in defiance of boss Justin McCarthy.
Both Peter Queally and Brian Greene have said they won't play under McCarthy again while Brian Flannery and Tony Browne have intimated they may follow Fergal Hartley into retirement.
Boss McCarthy said: “The players mentioned have made enormous contributions and that must be acknowledged. When they become managers themselves they will understand how things work because they’ll be in similar situations."
