Former Offaly boss pledges quick return

Sacked Offaly football boss Paul O'Kelly will return to the inter-county scene in a matter of months as an advisor to an unnamed outfit.

O'Kelly was deemed surplus to requirements in Offaly after less than a year in the job but it hasn't soured him and he's already planning a county return, with Wexford the likely suitors.

O'Kelly said: "I'll be doing a bit of work with a county team but I can't say who with. As regards taking on another manager's job myself If something comes up again next year I'll look at it."
