Meath junior boss slapped with 12-month ban

All-Ireland winning Meath junior football boss Martin Barry has been hit with a 12-month suspension by his county board but will appeal the decision.

The ban arises following a bust up with a county board official ahead of Meath's semi-final win over Kerry in Nenagh when Barry was about to give his team talk.

His selector, Dessie Rogers, was hit with a two-year ban for his part in the fracas but Barry lashed: "It's an absolute joke and I'll fight this all the way to a court of law if I have to. I've already consulted my solicitor. This is not the end of it."
