Derry boss Moran announces training panel

Derry football manager Mickey Moran has made considerable changes to his panel ahead of the upcoming National League campaign after Christmas.

Boss Moran and his management team have named a 33-man preliminary panel for the coming season with a significant investment in youth.

Gone are former county stars Gareth and Fergal Doherty, Dermot Dougan and Anthony Tohill who is believed to have finally retired from inter-county football.

Into the panel come six players from the All-Ireland winning minor side of 2002 with big things expected of Moran's own son, Conleth Moran.

"The panel will be reviewed and monitored on an ongoing basis and although the personnel may change the numbers will not," said Moran.
