Plans are afoot to extend the International Rules series for another 10 years following the huge interest in the hybrid game this year.

GAA and AFL chiefs have been in discussions Down Under in recent days about not only extending the series, but adding an extra test each year.

Last year's decider in Dublin was a Croke Park sell-out while the interest has carried on this year at today's MCG second test, with a 60, 232 full house as Ireland succumbed to an aggregate loss.
