Counihan a contender for Cork job
Former Cork star Conor Counihan has emerged as a possible choice to take over from Larry Tompkins despite Billy Morgan's interest in the position.
Tompkins said on the weekend that former back to back All-Ireland winning boss Morgan is favourite to succeed him but reports suggest that Counihan could take over.
Counihan was on the team alongside Tompkins that won All-Ireland titles in 1989 and 1990 and served as a selector under Tompkins en route to the 1999 All-Ireland final.
