MacGearailt favourite to succeed O'Se
Former Kerry selector Seamus MacGearailt has emerged as favourite to succeed Paidi O'Se in the Kingdom hotseat.
MacGearailt led An Ghaeltacht to considerable club success and sources have suggested that he'd be favourable to taking up the county reins.
O'Se confirmed today that he would not be putting his name forward for re-election after his tenure ended in an acrimonious falling out with county board chairman Sean Walsh over the weekend.
O'Se said: "My commitment to the game over the years has virtually governed my life, and I am proud as a West Kerry man and a Ventry man of the honours achieved by this great County.
"During my retirement, my commitment and support of the Kerry Team and it's patrons will remain undiminished, and they can be assured of whatever help I can give from the sidelines, it will be there."
