O'Keeffe says pace is key to Rules win

Ireland boss John O'Keeffe believes the key to victory in the upcoming International Rules test series lies in attacking the Aussies with pace.

Kerry man O'Keeffe reckons that Ireland have the players with speed and skill to give the hard hitting hosts a real headache in the games at Perth and Melbourne.

O'Keeffe said: "The Australians probably have more stamina, but I feel we have an advantage in speed and we have very quick players in certain areas

"We don't want to compete with them in the area of tackling, because their upperbody strength is just better than ours.

"We have to devise ways of trying to limit that advantage. That's where our speed of foot and our speed of thought can come into play."
