New Wicklow boss calls for unity

Newly appointed Wicklow football boss Hugh Kenny has called on the county's top players to answer his call and climb down off the picket line.

Kenny takes over from John O'Leary who was plagued by internal problems and apparent dissatisfaction with his appointment from a number of players who chose not to play for him.

But former Wicklow star Kenny said: "It's no secret we have problems at many different levels. They are not pulling together. If I can succeed in bringing everyone together, then I'd have achieved something in that period."
