O'Brien favourite to succeed Keane
Limerick are poised to replace former senior hurling manager Dave Keane with another Cork man following reports that Sean O'Brien has emerged as a likely candidate to take over on Shannonside.
The former All-Ireland colleges medal winner has an excellent track record and won four county senior medals with Midleton before leading the Rebels to two intermediate titles in recent years.
If O'Brien is appointed he'll be looking for a smoother time in charge than Keane who insisted after his sacking that dissension from within the Limerick camp made his job hugely difficult.
