Kenny takes over as Wicklow boss
Former Wicklow star Hugh Kenny has been appointed as the new senior football manager in succession to John O'Leary.
O'Leary endured a torrid time in charge of the Garden County with a dismal league and championship record though he was plagued by internal defections in defiance of his appointment from certain players.
Kenny retired prematurely from inter-county football at just 28 and has been managing the Irish U-17 International Rules team as well as holding the Director of Coaching in Wicklow position.
