Galway bookies in line for shock payout

Local bookies in Galway are poised for a €50,000 payout if club side Leitrim/Kilnadeema make it through to the knockout stages of the county senior hurling championship.

Earlier in the year bookies offered staggering odds of 33/1 against the traditional minnows from making it out of the qualifying stages which prompted players and club officials to put their money where their mouths were.
