Moynihan doubtful for Inter Rules series
Captain Seamus Moynihan has emerged as doubtful to play for Ireland in the International Rules series Down Under after limping out of a club game at the weekend in Kerry.
The Glenflesk man lasted only three minutes of an O'Donoghue Cup tie against Gneeveguilla and it is believed the influential defender aggravated an old Achilles tendon injury.
Ireland boss John O'Keeffe, a Kerry selector, will be keeping a close eye on the situation and may have to consider handing the captain's armband to another player with Ciaran McManus of Offaly a likely contender.
