Lyons steps down from Clare hotseat

Cyril Lyons has stepped down as Clare's hurling manager.

Lyons took over from Ger Loughnane, who won two All-Irelands in 1995 and 1997, and the Banner men lost last year's final to Kilkenny.

Clare had a more disappointing year this year - they beat Tipperary in the first round, before going down to Cork in the Munster semi-final and losing to Galway in the qualifiers.
