Ballyduff suspended pending assault probe

The Ballyduff hurling club in Kerry have been suspended from taking part in senior and Under-21 competitions until further notice pending an investigation into an alleged assault on a referee.

Referee Gearóid O'Regan is alleged to have been attacked by at least one player and a number of fans as he officiated during a game between Ballyduff and Kilmoyley at Austin Stack Park.
