DUP councillor slams extent of GAA coverage
Democratic Unionist Party councillor David Tweed has complained about the extent of GAA coverage on television in the North.
R Tweed, a former Irish rugby international, claimed during a council meeting in Ballymena, Co Antrim, that a "pan-nationalist front" in the Northern media was ensuring that Gaelic sports received
"excessive" coverage.
He complained that GAA was on the television nearly every night and said other sports like athletics and rugby were receiving nowhere near as much airtime.
