O'Kelly reveals devastating blow in Offaly
Former Offaly football manager Paul O'Kelly has described his sacking after just eight months in the job as a "devastating personal blow" and blamed it on "local politics."
In a mystifying coup the Offaly county board passed a motion of no confidence in O'Kelly just months into his supposed three year reign.
O'Kelly said: "This is a devastating personal blow for me. The only challenge I made to the Offaly board was to consider what was possible and ask ourselves if we really wanted Offaly to be one of the best teams in Ireland."
