O'Kelly receives vote of no confidence in Offaly

Paul O'Kelly was last night deposed as Offaly senior football manager after receiving a vote of no confidence by the county board during a tense meeting.

O'Kelly was only in the job eight months after agreeing on a three year term but delegates voted to remove him by 38 votes to 24 after a less than impressive season that yielded losses to Laois and Roscommon.

Offaly chiefs are already looking for a new manager but the matter may not be closed because the county's players are hugely annoyed at the manner of O'Kelly's departure.
