Gerry Ryan pays Laois GAA fine

Radio DJ Gerry Ryan has offered to pay the €1,400 fine imposed on the Laois county board for including two children in their pre-match parade at Croke Park before the Leinster final.

The children are twin sons of star corner-back Joe Higgins. The GAA have sparked outrage by pointing out that rule 6 had been breached - a fine charged at €700 each..
