O'Rourke gets another chance as Down boss

Down football manager Paddy O'Rourke has been ratified for another term as Mourne County manager as expected after leading them out of the dark ages to the Ulster final this year.

Down eventually lost the final after a one-sided replay defeat to Tyrone and succumbed to Donegal soon after in the qualifiers.

Nevertheless the year was generally a success and O'Rourke has been rewarded with a another year in charge.

It has been confirmed that O'Rourke's management team will remain in place meaning Greg Blaney, Johnny McComiskey, PJ McGee and Sean McAteer will all continue in their respective roles behind the scenes.
