Micko slams parade fine
Laois manager Mick O'Dwyer has said the €1,400 fine imposed on the county board for allowing Joe Higgins' twin sons take part in a pre-match parade is a total disgrace.
Higgins, the county's star corner-back, was accompanied in the pre-match parade before the Leinster final by his two sons, Jack and Kevin, in contravention of the GAA's Rule 6 of match day regulations.
But O'Dwyer lashed: "It's a total disgrace. What harm did two little boys do by walking around Croke Park? Young lads are the future of the GAA but we seem to be losing sight of that."
