Decision due next week on new Tipp boss

A decision is to be made next week on the appointment of a new manager for the Tipperary senior football team following the resignation last month of Tom McGlinchy.

Among those being mentioned as possibles for the post are former Kerry great Denis 'Ogie' Moran, former hurling boss and dual star Michael 'Babs' Keating and former manager Seamus McCarthy, who is back working in the county again.

The football board, a sub-committee of the county board, will have to bring recommendation to the full board meeting before an appointment can be made.
