Brian McEniff has no regrets about taking on the Donegal job - even though it was seen as a poisoned chalice just last Christmas and everybody else turned it down.

Donegal have emerged from nowhere after struggling to find a new manager and then suffering relegation from Div 1 to become All-Ireland semi-finalists - they face Armagh next Sunday at Croke Park.

McEniff said: "Initially we sought 10 managers - five from inside the county and five from outside - but they all turned down the chance. I said if the players wanted me I'd take it. I'm glad I did."
