GPA strike up deal with drinks company C&C

The Gaelic Players Association has landed another high profile sponsorship deal for its members with drink company Cantrell and Cochrane agreeing to signing up ten top players for endorsement purposes.

The players, from both codes, will become the figureheads for the launch of a new energy drink and are expected to net €2,250 each.

GPA chief Dessie Farrell said: "Ten players are being used up front in billboards, posters and point of sale material. There will be other players involved in other promotional activity around the product."
