Coleman declares interest in Cavan job

Former All-Ireland winning manager Eamon Coleman has revealed his interest in taking over as Cavan senior football manager following Mattier Kerrigan's departure.

Coleman led Derry to All-Ireland success in 1993 and is the perfect candidate because he lives in Cavan and knows the county inside out as he currently manages champions Gowna.

Coleman said: "I was approached by some people and I allowed my name to be thrown into the hat. I've no idea who the Cavan County Board will appoint but I've shown my hand and we'll let others decide the next move."
