Wexford hurling boss John Conran and his selectors have pulled Dave Guiney from the wilderness to start against Waterford in the All-Ireland qualifier series on Saturday.

Corner back Guiney will amazingly make his first championship start in six years since the 1997 Leinster final against Kilkenny following a series of career threatening injuries.

Former All-Ireland winner Larry O'Gorman is back in at midfield and there are recalls for Michael Jacob and Chris McGrath up front too.
