Cloonan in leave to fill vacancy for Galway
Galway hurling boss Conor Hayes has left a vacancy at corner-forward in the hope that former All Star Eugene Cloonan will be fit to face Tipperary on Sunday.
Cloonan has been struggling with a back complaint throughout the year and missed their victory over Clare but has a good chance of returning though Kevin Broderick could get the nod either.
Meanwhile, Ollie Fahy and Mark Kerins both start in a restructured forward line while a space has been at wing back for Fergal Healy to prove his fitness.
Galway (SH v Tipperary): L Donoghue; D Joyce, L Hodgins, O Canning; AN Other, T Og Regan, D O'Brien; J Conroy, R Murray; R Gantley, M Kerins, D Tierney; D Hayes, O Fahy, AN Other.
