Limerick hurling star Ciaran Carey has quit the county panel after being named on the bench for this weekend's All-Ireland qualifier against Kerry in Tralee.

Limerick hurling star Ciaran Carey has quit the county panel after being named on the bench for this weekend's All-Ireland qualifier against Kerry in Tralee.

Carey has won three All-Star awards with Limerick, in 1992, 1994 and 1996.
