Derry react with hostility to date change

The Derry County Board have reacted angrily to the extra week given to opponents Dublin to prepare for their qualifier clash.

Dublin were defeated by Laois on Sunday but unlike the other beaten teams have been given an extra week to prepare for the back door tie.

A Derry source said: "It's going to give them extra time to recover from Sunday's game, but that's the way these things seem to go for some reason."
