Collum a doubt for Tipp

Tipperary centre back Sean Collum is a doubtful starter for the Premier County ahead of next Saturday's All-Ireland qualifier against Carlow in Semple Stadium.

The influential defender, easily Tipperary's most impressive against a rampant Kerry last weekend, limped out of the Munster semi-final at Tralee having damaged his groin and left a gaping hole upon departure.

Collum is very highly regarded in football circles and his loss would be huge for Tipperary, especially considering that star forward Peter Lambert is also out of action and will be for the rest of the year having damaged cruciate knee ligaments.

Attacker Aidan Fitzgerald also limped out of Sunday's game against Kerry but he is expected to be fit for the Carlow tie.

Meanwhile former Allstar Declan Browne, who suffered concussion in the same game, is expected to be declared fit for action too.
