Longford boss calls for 13-man lineup
Longford manager Denis Connerton insists the way forward for weaker counties to progress on the
football field is to reduce teams to 13-a-side.
Longford have been on the cusp of a breakthrough in recent years but never quite made it and boss
Connerton has proposed the radical downsizing as the way forward.
Connerton said: "If you can only have 13 players on the pitch at any one time, it gives weaker counties a better chance as they are more likely to have 13 top class players than 15."
