Codd leads Wexford into Leinster hurling final

Super sub Michael Jacob penned the perfect ending to a tale of two halves to send Wexford into the Leinster SHC final.

With the last score of the game Jacob, on the field for just 25 minutes, knocked over the winning point in a thrilling finale.

But Wexford made it difficult on themselves in the first half, and trailed badly by 1-10 to 0-6 at the interval.

What followed in the second half was the stuff of legend with Paul Codd leading the line superbly for Wexford.

He hit 0-6 overall, and his 67th-minute long-range free left the scores level, with Jacob having the last word to seal a memorable win.
