Crawford boost for Meath

Meath's SFC bid has received a welcome boost midweek with the news that midfielder Nigel Crawford is likely to play some part against Westmeath on Saturday.

The Dunboyne man has been struggling with a thigh strain but played a whole club game for St Peter's against big hitting Skryne.

Meanwhile, there are still concerns over full-back Darren Fay who retired with a back injury after 21 minutes of the drawn game last Sunday.
