Kilkenny hurling squad handed new car

The Kilkenny Hurling squad has been presented with a new Toyota Corolla in recognition of their victory over Tipperary in the recent Allianz League Final.

The bonus prize is part of a new three-year sponsorship package with Toyota Ireland.

The company will also give the winning teams in this year’s All Ireland football and hurling championships Toyota Corollas, with the runners-up receiving Toyota Yaris cars.

From 2004, the company will present the winners of the All Ireland Club Football and Hurling Championship with Corollas.

The cars are presented directly to the players to assist with fund-raising initiatives for county team members.
