Lohan must rest, says top physio

Clare full-back Brian Lohan has been ordered to rest completely this week after picking up a knee injury in last weekend's Munster SHC win over Tipperary.

Lohan is being treated by renowned Limerick physiotherapist Gerard Hartman in a bid to be fit.

Hartman is best known for treating potentially career-ending injuries suffered by Paula Radcliffe and Sonia O'Sullivan - both of whom have won world medals since.

Lohan's injury requires several more days of ice and rest before the swelling recedes.

"Brian is doubtful at the moment, but we will do everything we can to get him back - and by the morning we will have a better idea of how things are looking," Hartman said.

Lohan has a minor tear to his medial collateral ligament.
