Corcoran hits back at 12-week suspension

Tipperary hurling star Eamonn Corcoran has hit back at the 12-week suspension imposed on him and labelled it "outrageous".

Corcoran is adamant that a linesman's report exists that will exonerate him but hasn't been used yet.

He blasted: "The linesman has indicated he saw nothing and the referee's report is obviously wrong."

Meanwhile, Tipperary secretary Mike O'Brien has threatened to resign in the fallout from the affair.

Corcoran's appeal against a 12-week ban for "striking with the hurl" was ruled out of order and O'Brien is furious.

He said: "I will have to seriously consider my position now. The whole thing has been a shambles from start to finish."
