Fitzmaurice may reconsider position

Paudie Fitzmaurice will be asked to reconsider his position to quit as Sligo hurling manager after just five months in charge.

A County board youth official expressed his disappointment that Fitzmaurice was picking such young players for the senior team, including one 15 year old.

But hurling board chairman Tom Evans said: "I can't see the logic of the concerns expressed by the Youth Officer."
